Learn the art of Sashiko. This is a stitching technique that originated out of the need to mend. Over the years it has turned into a decorative stitch. Not only will you learn the technique and the materials needed but how they can be applied to various projects. Learn how to make your project extraordinary with this simple, relaxing stitch. Once you understand your individual rhythm to doing the stitch it will be hard to put the project down. Everyone's style, stitch length etc. is different and they are all perfect. What's included: All materials which include fabric, backing fabric, embroidery floss, bee's wax, needle, needle threader, pencil. These are for the student and can be taken home. Pattern templates, iron, scissors and an assortment of different textiles will be available for use in the classroom.
