Service Description

A Gelli Plate is a soft yet firm surface that is easy to clean, use and store, is accepting of many mediums, and will last indefinitely. It is a magical surface on which you can apply any water-based media that can be transferred on a piece of paper or cloth and is suitable to any ability level. During class #1 Students will learn the basic principles of creating decorative papers using acrylic paint, stencils and textured items. The teacher will provide examples of various uses for these papers, highlighting those to be covered in parrs #2 and #3. Class #2 will cover image transfer and other advanced techniques for creating papers to be used while creating a stained-glass paper collage. Class #3, (Stained Glass Paper Collage) will teach students to create and cut a basic stencil, onto which they will attach decorative papers, thus creating a paper “stained glass” collage.
